| Description: | Inkberry hollies are very soft to the touch, and have dark blue/black berries. They are upright and rounded in habit, growing more round with age. ‘Shamrock’ has bright green foliage and a dense growth habit. The inkberry holly is unique among evergreen hollies in that they prefer wet or moist soils. When grown in dry soil, they will become stressed and lose their lower leaves. They are best planted in that ‘problem’ area where the soil remains moist or wet, or grown where they can be watered during times of drought. |
