Description: Deep blue-violet flowers spikes bloom from early summer to late summer if deadheaded regularly. A showy perennial that was named Perennial Plant of the Year in 1997. Salvia is easy to grow in average garden conditions, but it does perform best in full sun with moist, well-drained soil.
