Description: Very easy to grow, very pest resistant. Showy blue flowers in late spring on a bold plant. It is rare to find flowers of this shade of blue. Extremely long lived, does not like to be moved once established. Prefers well drained soil. Very drought tolerant once established. Just recently there have been many new introductions of different varieties of Baptisia, some species are natives and some are new hybrids. These are some exciting new plants that we will be adding soon. There are white, yellow, purple and bi-colored varieites. They are all similar to this one, just different flowers and sizes.
