| Description: | 'Evergold' has arching, narrow grass-like like leaves that are creamy yellow with a thin green midrib. Does well in semi-shaded locations, but needs some sun for best foliage color. Great for a texture effect. Great by ponds or streams, or as an accent plant. May be used to edge a woodland path, or massed in groups for a dramatic effect. This sedge will do well in average, but not dry garden soils. Combines well with the bold foliage of 'Hostas'. More sun will be tolerated if soil is kept moist. Carex is a clump-forming grass-like plant (not a true grass) that prefers semi-shaded locations, and moist soils. There are a variety of colors, sizes and leaf variegations available. |
